St. Augustine Vacation - September

On this vacation trip to St. Augustine (the third this year), we stayed at the Alexander Homestead Bed & Breakfast. It's a nice, quiet property on the periphery of the historic distric.

We finally did the tour of the Old Jail in St. Augustine. The tour by Sheriff White was a lot of fun! The jailhouse itself was contructed by the same company that built the one on Alcatraz Island.

Here are pictures around the historic district of St. Augustine, including some favorites of ours like The Tasting Room (great tapas and great wine) and Claude's Chocolate.

The Dow Museum of Historic Houses inclues eight homes, many dating back to the 1700s. I didn't get very many pictures here because by this time of day I had run both battery packs dry.
